The Judicial Council of California has announced updated dollar limits for summary probate procedures, effective April 1, 2025:
• Affidavit for Collection of Personal Property: increased to $208,850 (previously $184,500).
• Affidavit Regarding Real Property of Small Value: increased to $69,625 (previously $61,500).
• Petition to Determine Succession to Primary Residence: increased to $750,000 (previously $184,500).
• Small Estate Set-Aside (Probate Code §§ 6600–6613): increased to $107,900.
• Excluded Salary/Compensation (Probate Code §§ 13050(c), 13600–13601): increased to $20,875.
