With over 35 years’ experience handling professional liability claims and lawsuits we represent a wide array of professionals in State and Federal Court litigation, private arbitration proceedings, mediation and pre-litigation negotiations.

Both Mark Lester and David Cantrell are certified by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as specialists in legal malpractice law. This is a distinction that has been awarded to a small handful of lawyers throughout the state. The lawyers at Lester & Cantrell have represented many professionals in cases that have been tried to a verdict.

The firm has handled jury and non-jury trial and arbitration work for law firms ranging from one to hundreds of attorneys, and arising from a diverse scope of underlying legal services including but not limited to U.S. Tax Court litigation; Municipal Law services; Corporate advising; Family Law and General Civil Litigation matters of all kinds. The firm’s clients include practitioners from throughout California and from various other states involved in all types of professional liability claims.

The firm’s work also includes assisting our professional clients through ethical dilemmas with practical, sound advice. The Firm regularly represents lawyers in investigations by the State Bar of California, and defends those lawyers to the extent necessary to resolve concerns raised by the State Bar.
