SB 1252 goes into effect Jan. 1, 2019.
On January 1, 2019, SB 1252 goes into effect. This bill amends Section 226 of the Labor Code, now requiring employers to provide a copy of personnel/employement records to the requesting employee. Previously, employers only had to let employees inspect or copy records themselves.
